I'll tell you what. Figure out a way to get a concise, compact, but still effective backstory going on here, and you'll be in business. My immediate thought throughout the whole thing was "oh, this is just random body horror, but sometime around

and I was actually into it, and I don't really care for body horror as a rule. It's surprisingly effective for what it is. The cove thing still needs some kind of explanation, some kind of reason to be there other than that you needed a vehicle for the pruney body bits. But you're well on your way at the moment.
