You know, that would actually be a potentially awesome premise- Bobble's whole schtick seemed to be teaching children how to be murderous bastards, so someone who grew up watching him would undoubtedly end up on death row and from there on D-class duty. Heck, I could actually imagine this guy catching a glimpse of an intercepted Bobble broadcast, getting all nostalgic, then probably trying and failing to breach its containment (possibly at Bobble's own prompting) in an attempt to free his childhood "hero".

I think it depends on how you take this. While I think that there are many ways to make this interesting, I think that the D-Class watching Bobble, becoming convicted, and then having to test on it, or what MrCobalt said, would work the best on this kind of story. However, if you just tell a story about how this guy watched the episode and became a D-Class from that, it would probably not be as interesting.

You should definitely take care for the protagonist to have a personality before and after his being affected. Obviously watching Bobble turned him away from normalcy, but simply becoming a generic psychopath is pretty boring.
