Let's try this again, but with a bunch more words.

I like this much more than the old one; especially the operative's discussion of the Green's clichèd life. Turns a Marty Stu story into… well, still a Marty Stu story, but more self-aware, so better.
I read it again, saw that none of the issues from the first time were removed, and that the opening was still wasted on this topic. Downvoted accordingly.
I quite like this one. About level with the previous tale, truth be told.
What I DON'T understand is why people keep calling this guy a Marty Stu. It's like every remotely interesting individual is being stamped back into line because any discerning characteristic means they're someone's special little AA Mary-Sue waifu with technicolor eyes.
If I'm reading this correctly, Marty Stu/Mary Sue is a nickname for reality benders, like Bixby, or type green.
Erm… no, Mary Sue is basically a character who's too perfect/overidealized. Marty Stu is the male equivalent.
To further elaborate, they do have that nickname in-universe because they tend to change reality to make life idealized for themselves.
But when talking about it in the discussion, yeah, we're describing what Zyn's talking about.
