Item #: SCP-2086
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Is to be contained in [REDACTED] enforced plastic polymer, 24 inches thick. Size of room should be 18 m, by 18m, by 10m. SCP-2993 is to be fed prepared metal scraps in front of the entrance to its enclosure. SCP-2993 is not be directly interacted with without authorized permission. Under no circumstances should any unauthorized personal attempt to treat SCP-2993 SCP-2086 with medical aid. SCP-2993 is to be under constant surveillance by four security cameras, each camera fixed to the upper wall corners in cell. Cameras are to be coated in transparent plastic at all times, and no metal is to be brought into the room except authorized, or if scheduled for feeding. SCP-2993 is not to be fed any sort of flesh or meat-based food under any circumstances. Results to those who break these procedures will be terminated. Any staff permitted to enter cell and/or extract SCP-2993 must wear specialized full-body suits that protects them from radiation, fires, chemicals, and substantial physical damage. Suits should be organized in closet by entrance to the cell.
Description: SCP-2993 is a humanoid, identical to a late pubescent male with black hair and pale skin. SCP-2993 is covered in rashes, scars, and often fresh cuts that vary in severity. It will at most times, sit down in the center of the room, and often in this state it will mutter to itself incoherent words in a quiet tone. Monitored and recorded analysis are unable to identify any sort of pattern or consistency of its chanting, but we know it is capable of speech as it is speaking English words such as "the sky" "He who" "Mistress" "no." These were the most repeated words recorded by surveillance.
At random, rare intervals, SCP-2993 will tear open new wounds with his teeth or finger nails usually on the arm if he does not already have open wounds. Once done, it will walk up to one of the walls, and began to draw with his blood. Surveillance has shown that the blood drawings consisted of Latin symbols, eyes, simple obelisk-like structures, bones, and incoherent scribbles and structures in between. It’s noted that SCP-2993 seems to enjoy self-inflicted pain.
Most importantly, SCP-2993 has the ability to both consume and create almost any metal element found on the periodic table, and even alloys. Some of these alloys are still being tested. The metal-creating ability can be only forged from inside his own body, often the veins. The creations can take various forms in any material, and they can function from simple blades, to advanced gun-like mechanism, to even seemingly sentient abnormalities. In addition, metal components can be anything from stainless steel, to magnesium, mercury, sodium, to as far as uranium. Since the metal creations are forged in his body, they are painfully expelled out of his body usually in a somewhat gore-like fashion. SCP-2993 has amazing regeneration capabilities, but can only be done so when ingested a metal substance or alloy, and he can survive and move even with mortal wounds, torn body, or major organ and/or blood loss. We do not know SCP-2993’s limits, but for research purposes we have yet to test further. Interestingly he cannot eat his own metal, unless if it has been separated from his body for an extensive period of time.
SCP-2993 behavior is similar to a schizophrenic, as well as seemingly trapped in a conscience usually ignoring other people around him. When eating flesh or similar bio-material, SCP-2993 will slowly turn into an aggressive state, changing his masochistic tendencies to violently lash out against both in-animate structures and living creatures, preferably sentient ones. On several occasions with SCP-2993 arrival on [Redacted] he has been noted to have terminated multiple staff members before being feeding on a few guns and bullets after being shot numerous times. After eating extensive metals he would begin to slow his aggressive attacks, and researches theorized that the metal consumption caused the change of aggression.
If SCP-2993 escapes, priority is to capture it with all means necessary. If on a rampage, keep a long distance away from SCP-2993 and be ready to avoid longer ranged attacks. Advise using heavy weaponry, particularly LMGs, anti-tank rifles, and explosives to slow down SCP-2993. It is unlikely such weaponry can kill it, but it can do enough damage to his body to keep it neutralized for a small time. Note that even if its digestive parts are missing, from mouth to stomach, it can still absorb metals slower by touching, and or stuffing it inside of large enough wounds or openings in its body. SCP-2993 seems to be very agitated by plastic and even seems to express discomfort if attempting to ingest it,
Addendum1: SCP-2993 was found in the woods near Salem, NJ on 5/16/11 Subject was found in front of a tree surrounded by five corpses, all mutilated except for one girl who was strangled to death, with red marks along her neck. SCP-2993 was noted to be chanting to himself in something inaudible, but presumably it was English, at least some words that were heard. Such as “The sky” “Mistress” and “feed”. Subject’s arm was torn off as if by teeth, and analysis shows that he had bit it off himself. Further investigation showed that at one point both SCP-2993 and an unknown paranormal, possibly psychic, entity were in combat. Research involving SCP related affects to see how SCP-2993 reacts to was mostly either immune, or violently rejected certain effects. Though tests were run with minor, synthetic replicas of common Paranormal SCP affects such as decaying, SCP-2993 was noted to have converted his exterior flesh to an unknown metal alloy. This alloy was composed of steel, chrome, and a few unspecified elements yet to be analyzed by researched, and even traces of uranium. The composition was shown to be resistant to many SCP affects and abilities, such as psychic and world bending attributes, however it was too heavy to be used for conventional usage in weapons or protective gear.
If SCP-2993 can be studied further and can even be proven to control properly, SCP-2993 may be used in future SCP outbreak or security breaching related incidents to which it can handle.
Addendum2: Communications with SCP-2993 have been made in a few interviews. Though these conversations were brief as it lulled back into incoherent mumbling, below was the best resulted interview so far. Conducted by Doctor [Redacted], the interview was conducted in lab [redacted] where SCP-2993 was strapped down on a hospital bed with leather straps for security.
Dr. [Redacted]: “welcome back, let’s see. I believe this is the third time you have been brought here.”
SCP-2993: -barely audible mumbling-
Dr. [Redacted]: “Can you tell us where you are from?”
SCP-2993: -silent-
Dr. [Redacted]: “We mean you no harm if that’s wha-“
SCP-2993: “Sky….corpse.”
Dr. [Redacted]: “Excuse me?”
SCP-2993: “She’s in the sky, waiting for me.”
Dr. [Redacted]: “Who is she?”
SCP-2993: “City will crumble, rot will fill the air.”
Dr. [Redacted]: “What ci-“
SCP-2993: “Corpses rise.”
Dr. [Redacted]: “You understand what I’m saying, ri-“
SCP-2993: “I am from Salem”
Dr. [Redacted]: “Do you have a name?”
SCP-2993: “Axel”
Dr. [Redacted]: “How long were you like this?”
SCP-2993: -silent-
Dr. [Redacted]: “Axel?”
SCP-2993: -continued to mumble-
Dr. [Redacted]: -sigh- “SCP-2993 made some progress today in communications, though shortly lasted. Subject no longer wishes to speak.”
The recording ends there.
