SCP Foundation

Isn't it a little odd when some articles redact brand names or company names?
For example,

SCP-5318008 is an █████ iPad, with the uncanny feature of turning anyone it takes photos of into little kittens…

It's not like the Foundation is going to get sued, (well, Apple might try…) because, well, they're the SCP Foundation, and I'm assuming that they have a bit of government influence. Also, no one outside of the Foundation will see the documents.
Maybe I'm missing something.
Care to weigh in?
Edit: Had to edit twice because I accidently saved the keystrokes I caused when trying to get peanut butter out of my keyboard. I'm only telling you this because I have a Chrome add-on that changes "keyboard" to "leapoard" and I just want to see the effects of that with that sentence.

Shouldn't this go into Foundation Universe, since it directly pertains to that?

I've also wondered this. I never got why an official document would redact a company name, unless it was an anomalous company that had confidential information pertaining to said name. It's not like most of these companies aren't well known, after all. Then again, there aren't that many articles that list a real company name or what could be interpreted as a real company name, so it isn't that big of an issue, but I'm still curious about it.
