Is there some sort of pre-defined template thing for Author Pages. I mean, if there's a standard template for SCP's and other things, then I assumed that there would be some kind template for author pages too. If not, then how come there isn't one?

Also, why isn't there a guide for how to write in clinical tone? Since I've seen a lotta newbies get the tone completely wrong when writing SCP's.

Finally, how do you establish a character's defining trait in a story? Kinda important because I'm writing a few Tales at the moment.

1) No pre-defined template for author pages, because everyone writes them differently. My author page is set up along the lines of a tale, while other people like lurkd's play with graphics and coding to format theirs, and some, like qntm's or Djoric's, are just list of articles that have been done. It all varies, and there's no hard limit.

2) We do have a guide that helps with tone somewhat, as well as another guide and the main How to Write an SCP guide.

3) Can you clarify what you mean by "defining trait"?
