@Zyn
How would someone define "overly cooperative and positive"?
Overly cooperative, meaning very susceptible to orders - despite what the action is.
Positive, like the opposite of condescending and negative. I've thought of it being a sort of state where affected people simply do not feel ordinary. Just glad, a positive look on things.
Do the effects linger, or are they only in place so long as the person has line of sight or something?
I thought that they would initially subside as soon as subjects left the same room as the SCP.
A lingering effects, or aftereffect might be interesting too thought, not sure.
How big is the drawing?
It's made on a standard sheet of A3.
Is it the pattern itself that causes the anomalous effect, or a singular instance?
I've thought the drawing itself as the source of the anomalous effect. The content of the drawing doesn't have any relevance. I can see how it would make sense to have some kind of interesting content, to support the idea of the effect.
Why would anyone want to put it on a sphere facing the outside world? Why would anyone actually do that?
Cuz' some Foundation researches were all like
"Fuck it guys, go big or go home"
And placed it outside.
Of course, that's not what I had in mind exactly, that's idiotic and a breach of safety. I thought something about researchers wanting to determine if it only would affect rooms, perhaps find out its area of effect.
Why does any SCP exist? It doesn't have a purpose, per say. It was however created by someone, which is where I'm thinking about a backstory of where it came from. I'd like to expand more on this, but I'm not sure how.
I dunno… it seems kind of random to me. Furthermore, items that induce some sort of compulsive obedience/cooperation are fairly common. Do you have a backstory planned for this?
Yes, definitely. I do believe it can work with the proper execution though, which is why I'm here.
@Mr Cobalt
Instead of heckling my concept, how about some constructive criticism? I get you don't like the idea very much, but this is in fact my first time trying to do this, so I can't work off of "it's something that makes people happy, I don't like that premise".
I'm not 12, I'm very serious about making this an actual thing.
