My new SCP, SCP-2319, The White Sock (I know, it sounds boring) I would love some critique on it and hopefully can get some advice on some Addendums I may add, but for now I would like some Critique, Link will be below
Here is the link for it, thanks http://scpsandbox2.wikidot.com/thogurus-s-sandbox

Alright, this needs a lot of work. I'm not even going to address the description until you fix the containment, which is crazy excessive. After all, you've got:
SCP-2319 is to be held in a titanium lined, steel- uranium alloy box, 10 centimeters in width, 5 centimeters in height, and 20 centimeters in length, which should then be locked with titanium- Uranium alloy locks. Under no condition should a hole larger than 3 centimeters be made or allowed in the box, and if damave is seen in the box, it should be reported immediatly to O5 command. The box should then be placed in a 3x3x3 meter oxygen free room, which is then filled mostly with 75% Carbon Monoxide, 15% Nitrogen, and 5% Methane gas.
Titanium, steel-uranium alloy, a ridiculous amount of exact measurements, locks made of that uranium alloy, report to O5 Command (remember, these people decide if the world needs to be destroyed today, why would they care about this if a lab director or heck, a Level-3 can take care of it?)
How much of all that stuff listed above actually makes sense for this? How would anyone figure out that these are the exact conditions needed to keep this thing locked up? Keep in mind that as the author, you know the entire story, but the Foundation needs to have discovered what it knows about the SCP through observation and experimentation. How would someone with no prior knowledge whatsoever of the object, using only experimentation and observation, come to all the conclusions you've outlined above? To be believable, the article needs to keep the audience believing that the Foundation discovered all this stuff, not they knew all along for some reason.
I recommend reading this guide on containment before trying to fix this stuff.
There is absolutely no reason for like, any of those containment procedures. Titanium is not some magic strong metal, and the
steel- uranium alloy
is just silly. Ferrouranium is not really something you want to build something out of if you want it to stay secure.
But, even then, it's a sock. A sock. The containment procedure for this should literally be "SCP-XXX is to be contained in Secure Locker ## at Site ##." Like, I know I may be putting a little bit of a sharp point on it, but specifying the atmospheric makeup of a literal sock's (and not even a particularly hard to contain one, at that) containment cell is just… absurdly excessive.
As for the object itself, it's not really interesting. It's pretty much a killer sock, and goes nowhere surprising that you could not immediately predict once hearing "killer sock". While I think you would probably be better served starting with a more interesting base concept, if you do want to pursue this draft, you're going to have to add some backstory, or some emotional/story hook that makes the reader care.
