This…this is stunningly well done. My only problem is that we didn't think of it first…
Gah…i'm only a few pages into this, and i want to scream at them to actually CONTAIN THE ITEMS THEY ARE ACQUIRING! they are headed for a containment breech…
I read the whole thing. It's actually hilarious, in a Keystone Kops sort of way. I think they've killed their entire compliment of agents a few times over. Oh, and they gave 882 to the Church of the Broken God.
You know, this is so cool, I think I might set one or two of them up here, just for shits and giggles.
After all, it is technically our idea.
We're just…. reclaiming it.
Let me know when/if you do. and they did WHAT with 882?!
this is just odd.
Admin, SCP Wiki
Really sweet. So far i've seen them make gear slaves and have them work in a factory, use 808 to build a supercomputer, and when they sent their agents to get 682, no information. nothing. "none came back" That was epic.
If we do this, one of the key actions has to be research containment/build containment/repair containment. That's one of the things they're missing and we should add to make it truer to our vision. Also our actions should be interface with government, infiltrate organizations, neutralize SCPS, and of course, equip doctor with shotgun. lets see if we can reenact Incident 239-B (Clef-Kondraki) :)
Equip doctor with shotgun
You have equipped doctor with shotgun
Have him get pissed off at reality bender
Doctor is pissed of at reality bender
Equip other doctor with sword
Other doctor equipped with sword
and then sit back and enjoy the chaos haha
All I can say is, considering they discovered but did not identify 271, and just handed over 882, they are extremely lucky that CoBG doesn't know they have 217 yet.
Look at the agent's names. LOL.
I nearly laughed out loud - during a lecture - when I read the order "send the Redshirts in".
OK… the CotBG just got a hold of 217. They said that they'd assemble God in 4 turns (a month). The first reaction- ignoring the announcement.
Haha… wow. [twitch]
I recommend telling Marshall, Carter & Dark about SCPs 882 and 271 and taking advantage of the crossfire.
Wow. I did that before reading your post.
I don't want them to end the world so soon.
I've set up a thread and such for this in a new section. Feel free to check it out if you want!

This is beyond sweet, and good work on the Map pages! However, i have to echo concerns over long threads. I think the game will rape the load time before too long, and as much as i hate to outsource, is there a outside, non-wiki page we could use?
Thank you. I do put some effort into the maps.
As for outsourceing, I've been hearing a lot of it, but if we did use, or create another site, I'd rather not do it for the sake of a single metagame thread.
Maybe RP's and such too, and maybe other text based… thingies.
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for things I should use? Or should I just go to makeforum.org and make a new one?
Maybe it's a section of The Foundation network, where staff go to horse around and goof off with games. RPG, text adventure, SCP Tycoon and any other games hidden in the intranet. Command knows about it, but it's tolerated with the understanding that it'll be cracked down on if there are productivity or security issues.
No idea as to where to make it, i'd say just go to makeforum.org and have at it.
Oh, and someone suggested a SCP-universe rougelike…Mmmm…SCP Rougelike…*drools*
That would be pretty interesting, but how would one go about programming one of those?
I was hoping to do a more text based version of the metagame, you know, done in something like DOS, but done well, and like, little sprite visuals or something.
There are a ton of "bare-bones" rougelikes. granted, to make it good someone would need a lot of time, energy, and experience, but the basic bones are not too hard. If, someday, we could make something like Dwarf Fortress for the SCP…wow…
I think that's a great idea! And I love anything to do with sprite visuals…if you have the skill for it, go for it! We have a couple spriters around, can you do a good mock-DOS console?
I know enough java to make stab at it, though it may take me some time….
If cool things were quick and easy, then everyone would make them…
I guess just go with the forum for the moment, as we'll see if we can launch something more advanced later.
