Marp.
I feel like I'm missing something here, but I just found this kinda boring because the way I saw it, it's basically a low-curiosity substance that has some danger tacked on. Did you have an origin story planned for this?
Thank you, I'll try to make it more interesting. And thanks for
The number (#) parenthetical numeration isn't really used for distances, but rather scenarios in which getting a measurement wrong could be fatal, such as for drug prescriptions.
Because I never know when I should use it.

I think its a pretty solid idea because there are ton of places you can take this base concept if you're addressing something like the nature of this compound, where it came from etc., as Zyn was saying.
It seems to me like you could really go somewhere with how you talk about the various prehistoric rock strata that the compound has been found in. Why does this compound disappear for a few million years then reappear later? Is it some kind of predator that hibernates for extremely long periods of time?
Other stuff: Is it necessary to blackbox some of the numbers that you did?
Why does this need removal?
After a period of between █ to ██ minutes, provided it has not been dispersed, the collapsed powder will begin to clump together and reform its solid shape.
Or this?
SCP-XXXX gradually loses mass at a rate of approximately █ grams per week and is rendered permanently inert after a mean average of ██ weeks.
In fact this one seems like it would be extremely important for the personnel reading this document to know for containment:
Testing has revealed that specimens of SCP-XXXX are vulnerable to extreme temperatures of -███ and ████ degrees Celsius.
I feel those are unnecessary blackboxes for the most part but that's up to you in the end
I also found this section a little confusing
Exposure of SCP-XXXX to open skin results in irritation localised inflammation of the affected area, in both active and dispersed forms. Inhalation of dispersed particles particles of SCP-XXXX will normally lead to long-term respiratory diseases similar to emphysema and mesothelioma. In severe cases the inhaled particles will begin to reform within the lungs and cause severe trauma and, shortly afterwards, death of the affected.
Are you meaning to say that the only way that this compound kills a human is if they inhale a lot of it? Since it seems to say that it inflames skin but that's basically it, nothing more serious. Also you should probably specify what sort of open skin. Do you mean humans? Any animals? Mammals?
I like all the possibilities for this article, its up to you how much of what I say you use but that's just my opinion :)
Good luck
