The Vishnu Collective is an entity looking for humans of a like mind to it. It can read minds through physical contact, generally posing as a soothsayer in back alleys and subway stations. When it finds someone who shares its ideals, it makes them an offer, explaining that it will take them into itself, where it will enjoy the company and love of many others who share their ideals for the rest of eternity. This offer includes a 'suggestion' effect to make the prospect more attractive to the person the Collective has approached, but this is an effort to force prospective 'members' to thoroughly consider the offer, despite its outlandishness. However, the Collective does not force people to join with it, and will leave if refused, wiping away the last few minutes of interaction with an amnestic effect.
The Collective is a benevolent entity, if somewhat unorthodox in methodology. It seeks to preserve good, intelligent, and kind-hearted individuals through the End of Days. Whether or not it actually knows when this will be remains to be seen.
All people that join with the Collective retain their consciousness and self-identity, and are able to communicate with each other through thought. There are currently twenty individuals sharing the Collective's body, and all are satisfied with their decision. (Still need to come up with each personality)
The Vishnu part of the "Vishnu Collective" comes from the fact that only the torso and head of the Collective are synchronized. Each of the twenty people's arms, legs, eyes, nose, ears, and mouth are operated individually, and in tandem. Each person's limbs are incapable of directly interacting with the limbs of other members of the collective. This means that the Collective can have as many as twenty sets of limbs operating simultaneously, though such activity can be hectic and, indeed, confusing for the members of the Collective. Thankfully, with instantaneous communication and a set of established rules, this isn't usually a problem.
Walking, for new members, can be a challenge. But with more than a dozen other sets of legs to catch the fall, it's not usually a problem.
The Collective's eyes are slightly wider than the average human's, though this doesn't do much more than give them a wider range of vision. All twenty pairs of eyes can operate simultaneously, the irises of each individual travelling seamlessly across the sclera. When two lines of sight intersect or pass each other, the pupils will merge and the overlapping part of each iris will disappear, creating a much larger and oddly shaped pupil. When two or more pupil are overlapped completely, the colors of each iris will shift and speckle in the single merged iris. Overlapping vision doesn't impede the sight of any of the members of the collective, and they process the information simultaneously.
When any one member of the collective wishes to speak, however, all mouths must be open. Otherwise, the effects would be the same as if speech was blocked by a closed mouth. The lips, too, operate independently of each other. If two or more members of the collective are, for some reason, speaking at the same time, they can understand each other perfectly, through transferred thought, but it comes out as a garbled mess to outside listeners. This means that the Collective can also speak simultaneously, for creepy effect.
X-ray scans of the torso would show that the internals of the Collective are similar to that of humans, but for a few differences. The Collective has no digestive or sexual organs. Excess space is taken up by multiple hearts and lungs. The result is a cumulative heart rate close to 300 bpm and approximately 60-80 breaths per minute. The Collective draws energy from a single large organ, through which all blood flows. Where the energy comes from is unknown (probably an extradimensional space).
The article will contain a series of interviews in which the Collective identifies one of the Foundation scientists as compatible, and she becomes increasingly enamored with the idea of joining with them, until eventually it's found out she does.
By what I've read from the site, the SCP would likely be Euclid class, since it defies Euclidian laws and, though doesn't pose an overt threat and is compliant with SCP protocols and procedures, it does have several abilities that could make it potentially dangerous. In one of the interviews, the Collective reveals that they came to the Foundation voluntarily because the Collective entity itself decided to "hedge its bets and throw its lot in with the SCP Foundation, seeing as they are the most likely to deal successfully with the coming days." When questioned further, it only replies with "it's not our place to say."
