I think 525-B needs re-writing, in terms of tone and some grammatical mistakes.
Now that I've noticed that, I will never unnotice it. Thanks.
Was fairly interested, but had a nagging in the back of my mind after the bit about the ingredients. I knew I've heard this before, somewhere.
Then I read this bit;
"under the promise of food and candy".
… Oh God. In the memory of Hansel and Gretel, I upvote.
Is Tottenkinder a traditional name for that witch, or was it's use in Vertigo's "Fables" coincidental? (and yes, I know it's German for "dead children", but my cuestion stands)
In the original "Kinder- und Hausmärchen" of the Brothers Grimm the witch doesn't have a name. Totenkinder seems to stem from Fables. Also 'Totenkinder' literally means 'children of the dead' not 'dead children'. That would be 'tote Kinder'.
So in my eyes that's a bad translation from an AFAIK only marginally related story.
Unless that nod towards Fables is important to the author I'd suggest dropping that whole nickname part.
after a mild incident involving several cases of mild poisoning
Change or drop one of the milds.
"Magic" is not an acceptable answer. There has to be some sort of process here that allows for this to happen, it can't just "happen" because "it works."

This did it for me. It feels like too many articles aren't scientific enough in their approach to the supernatural.
Im downvoting because, in universe any containment info would not be data expunged. Also "For lack of a better term, 545-C contains a recipe in archaic English"
As far as my knowledge goes archaic english is not a thing… Should be changed to celtic or old english… Possibly latin depending on authors prefrence.
545-C is to be locked in [[DATA EXPUNGED]]
Downvoting because actually knowing how the SCP is containing things is kinda important.
Oh god. Oh the tone. Ow. Ow. Ow.
"Liquid life"? Nicknamed "Totenkinder"? "Skin devoid of blemishes"? Seriously? This needs a tonal update badly.
Agreed.
