This is my first SCP. Please don't hesitate to give feedback and/or tear it apart. It's currently a draft, but I'd appreciate any criticism and tips on what to include. I'd also like to know if my idea is original, and if it's a good idea or should be thrown in the trash, never to be spoken of again.
Thank you!
My observations:
The Special Containment Prodcedures need to be rethought entirely. What the Foundation can't contain physically, they contain the area it's found in. If they can't contain the area it's found in, they contain and suppress any and all information about it. The Foundation never deems ANYTHING to be harmless enough simply to exist uncontained in any form. Additionally, that runs counter to the Euclid designation. If there is no capacity for danger, they're Safe objects, not Euclid.
Just call it SCP-2114. Additional designators are only required if you're working with a multi-part SCP.
Altogether… the concept is not very interesting. This SCP doesn't seem that cohesive. There's a girl with some pretty nasty scars, a bus stop, a couple random items, and the ability to disappear at will. How are those connected? Why does she exist?
That's my 5 minutes worth of observations, I'll see if I can break it down further later this evening.
Pretty much this. IMO, just call the bus stops scp-2214 and the girl Scp-2214-1. Lazar right about the procedures though, The Foundation would try to move them to a containment area, and if that didn't work, they would reroute the buses and the roads and try to build around the bus stops.
Thank you, those are things I hadn't thought of…
Do you both think this idea is worth potentially salvaging, or if it is just too implausible to consider?
Good points. I've revised the Special Containment Procedures section following your advice. Does it look any better now?
She's not even quite disappearing at will, she's disappearing out of sight. I'd call this a ghost of some sort. She isn't doing anything to her surroundings, she doesn't seem to be causing any hard or good. She exists in a place. A teen with too much time on their hands and a good sense of their surrounding area could duplicate this girl exactly.
At best, anomalous event. At worst, a ghost. It needs more of an impact.
Also: your timing. Either she randomly appears at the bus stop or she's been sitting there for longer than "at least 30 minutes before the next bus is scheduled to arrive there and at least 15 minutes after the previous bus has departed." Especially if all she does is -keep sitting there- is no one approaches her.
