So I wanted to make my first post here, so why not have it be an introduction? The SCP Foundation is one of those websites that I've kept seeing getting referenced throughout my years on the Internet, so a few months back I decided to finally see what it was all about. After browsing through the various pages for a while and finding out what the Foundation actually was, I began to start liking it. Straight-up horror isn't really my thing so I mostly took a liking to articles that are either just creative anomalous objects or are more of subtle-creepy. Fast forward a small amount of time and I decide to create an account on the site- mostly for providing constructive criticism and voting but who knows, maybe I'll begin writing articles of my own someday. Now onto some hobbies I have: reading, video games, and history. The last one there is probably the most important. I study a lot of modern history(I'm talking post-Congress of Vienna) in my spare time, mostly the 20th century and especially World War II. You could probably ask me one small thing about the 2nd World War and I could probably give you a very thorough rundown of said thing and things that caused it and the things that resulted from it. Other than that I'm a completely unremarkable person. Other than that I have no worries whatsoever about the site, I know from experience how to infiltrate an internet forum and slowly work my way up the food chain etc etc. So that's my introduction. I suppose I should say hello right now because I have not at any point in the above paragraph.
Technically you said it at the beginning.
I'm sure Roget would be a cool person to talk to in chat about history. I'm in a similar spot of pretty preferring subtle, slow-burn creepiness to flat out horror. Fortunately there's plenty of that here. If you haven't already, you should check out stuff like 303 and 2722.
Good to see you've got your feet under you, that should make things easier on our end :p
