Overall, my impression of this article is that it goes about in describing the experience of the people who have developed the supposed hole obsession. While a decent monologue with evoking imagery, the story feels one-track and the pay-off is little. I can imagine people who did not see 2798 to be intrigued, but those who had might not be so wowed.

Upon reconsideration, it did feel a little one-note – I'll attempt to explore some of the relatively untouched areas of 2798, such as the "Worldwide distribution of potassium cyanide ampoules".
