This is a thread where you can, understandably, explain how you got your nickname. Whether it was from your own making, someone else, a video game, a TV show, or something else entirely, please share and enlighten us.
For me, one day the word "Datrataur" appeared in my head several months ago. It sounded cool and somewhat edgy, and it got stuck in my head, eventually morphing into "Thetataur", and is the name that I use on chat and would've used on site, had it not been for a very stupid maneuver on my part when creating my account.
And for people constantly wondering what my name consists of, it's a combination of the Greek letter Theta and "taur". I've said before that the latter part of my nick stands for "taurus", but in thinking about it I realized that it didn't really mean anything. It was just there; when "Datrataur" came into my head, I didn't think "'Datrataur' is 'Datra' plus a shortened version of 'taurus'". Datrataur isn't a word, it's a nice-sounding jumble of consonants and vowels. And that "word" worked for me.
4.5-month later edit: I've been wondering about this, and I think my nickname goes back even further - well, only a month or so back - to my interest in the word "Photar". For anyone who's interested, Photar is the name of one of the robots fought by Pluto in one of Osamu Tezuka's chapters of the Astro Boy manga. Photar is also called Epsilon, and this character is also present in Naoki Urasawa's Pluto, which is based off of Tezuka's original story.
