Okay so this in itself has a fair amount of backstory as it's adapted from a previous story I have written though not publicly posted
Parasitic Wendaeg, mockingly nicknamed 'The Parasite Wendigo', and officially called the VOX_579 Parasite by its creators.
"But War! There's already a 'wendigo' SCP/parasite SCP(s)!"
Well, this one is a tad different
This parasitic organism is shown to be wholly sentient in nature though displays fairly low intelligence despite this fact. The parasite requires a 'host' to function correctly, and is an entirely unpredictable organism.
Once within the body, the parasite cannot be removed by any known means whatsoever, as attempts to do so will cause harm to the host or even cause the host to expire as a result. This is because it ingrains itself onto almost every tissue within the body, thus quite literally making itself a part of the host.
The parasite is known to cause spontaneous, varying mutations in the host. Such mutations can include lengthened bone structure and hollowing of bones, making them lighter and stronger, as well as a more concentrated amount of keratin in hair and nails, making them stiff and possibly even sharp to an extent. During this time the host is no longer in control of their own body, as the parasite is capable of overriding the central nervous system and any motor functions, essentially making the host into a 'human puppet'.
Any attempts to tranquillise the creature will fail as it will allow sedatives and other drugs to pass into the host's system rather than its own. This in turn makes it easier for the parasite to control the host body.
However this directed absorption method /can/ be used to an advantage, as adrenaline shots could possibly cause the host to 'wake up' and therefore try to reassert control over their own body.
EDITS: This parasite is also introduced to the body through injection or an IV line, the needle being inserted in the same spot you would have blood taken from. The parasite is a creature of sentience but is microscopic in size. How this was achieved is unknown.
(I am also now looking into the functionalities of paralytics which could be used to counteract the parasite)
What do you guys think? is it worthy
