First things first - this thread is in no way staff-approved, and is therefore liable to be shut down if so ordered.
That said, welcome to:
psul's totally informal Critique Workshop
What is that, you may well ask. Here's my thinking:
- anyone who wants to write for the site would like to get feedback - ideally high quality feedback;
- currently, more people write than provide feedback;
- part of the issue might be that people don't feel confident that their feedback will be high quality;
- if we can improve (a) the confidence of potential reviewers; and (b) the quality of feedback, and encourage more people to give crit, everyone wins!
So I'd like to set up a workshop/discussion for anyone who would like to improve the quality of their critique for the site. I don't pretend to be an expert (and I am not staff) but I'm happy to share my thoughts, and encourage others to do so.
So, is anyone actually interested in this idea? If so, it would be great if you could reply, saying whether you would like to:
(a) participate in the reviewing workshops
(b) volunteer a draft for review
