SCP Foundation

Hello! I am Tufto- I discovered this site a couple of days ago, and am completely hooked. It's a brilliant collection of strange and creepy stories, and the way the canon holds together is impressive.

I already have an idea for an SCP, which I'm planning to write across the next few days. It's been a little while since I last wrote anything, so I imagine it'll be a little rough, but I think I have a suitably creepy concept.

Interest-wise, I have a particular interest in Iranian history (I'm about to start an MA upon it), and enjoy reading- particularly historical fiction (my favourite book is the suitably-creepy The Name of the Rose).

It's great to hear that you're interested in writing for the site! Make sure to create a sandbox page for yourself, and get any drafts you write up there shown to the IRC chat and/or the drafts forums for feedback prior to a mainsite post.

Additionally, you can also get your concept cleaned up in the Ideas and Brainstorming forum before you start a draft—it tends to make the writing process a lot smoother if you start off working with an idea that the audience finds interesting!

If you like historical fiction, maybe take a look around the different story collections in the Canon Hub! We've got a lot of Foundation'verse writing based on historical events, and the tales are where some of the best worldbuilding happens.
