Generally, an article being short isn't selling point unless it's an entry to a short works contest. That aside, between the choice of SCP idea and the length, I get the feeling that you're much more familiar with the older Series 1 articles than with current Series 3 articles. I'd recommend going through and reading a bunch of Series 3 articles to get a better idea of the current site standards and expectations. Remember, reading is just writing practice! The more you read, the more you'll understand and the better you'll get.
I see multiple spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure errors in this article. Additionally, I get the distinct feeling that you're using larger words in an attempt to meet scientific tone, instead of actually understanding of what writing in scientific tone means. Now, that's a common mistake, but large words do not inherently make something have scientific tone. Normally I'd link you to the on-site guide, but I think you might have a bit of trouble sticking with that sort of read, so just go and read the articles recommended.
