Whats up guys? I need some advice on where to go with this SCP I got in the works on the sandbox and whether or not im executing it well. Here you go if you are interested in helping out c:
Alrighty. Time for some good ol fashion eviscerating, Uhh, I mean critiquing.
Conclusion: The idea is fine. BUT there is no story to it. Its just what it does, and one test log. A discovery log would be like an oasis to this. Overall, if done correctly, it will do well.
WARNING: I AM NOT THE BEST CRITIQUE. DO NOT POST THIS JUST FROM WHAT I HAVE GIVEN.
Even after what all I gave, it still has MUCH left to go. Consider taking critisism from a couple of veterans before posting. If response is slow, go to the live chat. I always use the client in the chat guide because I'm lazy to do other wise.
Good luck bro! :)
THIS TIME WITH MORE FIRE!
Thanks man. I tried going on the chat but this dusty old computer (its running kali linux off of a flash-drive) wouldnt cooperate. Im going to expand on the story of this little bugger before I go off and publish it. But Im gonna need plenty of critics from the community to ensure I dont wind up dropping an unbaked loaf of bread in front of everyone.
It's a decent enough concept, though rather bland. Most of the problems with it are just nuts-and-bolts details and grammar things.
Object class: Safe Euclid
The reclassification of an SCP is usually only done after large, bombshell revelations, or a long series of highly disconcerting test results. As it stands, this is a plausible Euclid, as long as you describe more fully the precise difficulties of containing it. Even though it eats you, if you can just lock it in a box and walk away without worrying, it's probably Safe.
grassland environment in site 19.
Proper title is Site-19.
…all vents leading to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, and the block where it is located should be closed immediately.
Either remove the dangling comma, or put in another one after "located".
…measuring 46 centimeters from the tip of it's nose to the tip of it's tail.
"…measuring 46 cm long" suffices.
The creature roughly resembles a north american skink…
Use the latin name, and put the common name in (clarifying parentheses).
(Research is ongoing to discover the reasoning behind mammals being the only targeted class.)
Unnecessary, unless this is a Clue as to the Item's true nature.
And the testing log is unnecessary.
You should probably expand more on the base concept; what exactly is this, and why is it so weird? If it just eats kids, they would have shot it instead of Securing it, Containing it, and Protecting it.
I appreciate you pointing out that comma, and a lot of the other things. Thanks for this bro. But I have expanded on the idea a little bit more and I dont intend on publishing it in any form for the next 2 or 3 weeks. so lets see where this goes, shall we?
