People often say that we should remake bad movies instead of good ones. For example, just because the Star Wars prequels were horrible doesn't mean you can't write a good Star Wars prequel story. What if we thought the same way about the decommissioned SCPs?
Not that there weren't Decoms that were doomed to start with, like SCP-809-D or that one moose Decom. However, there are some Decoms that could actually make decent stories, they were merely poorly executed. For example, Duke could work, if you gave him the same twist as SCP-2006 or SCP-2800. Even Joey could work if one could write him like Spanko or Blackwood, and if you dropped the "CRAWLING IN MY SKIN" trait(s). Hell, you could make Duke related to Sarkicism if you pulled it off correctly.
Just a brief musing, and I doubt this would ever pass with anybody, but I thought I would get this out of my head. Any criticism, whether positive or negative, is appreciated.
