Item #: SCP-2597
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2597 is to be kept in a 12x12x8 foot concrete room at 10 degrees Celsius. A minimum of two people may enter and use SCP-2597 when instructed. SCP-2597 may not be taken out of its containment chamber under any circumstances.
Description: SCP-2597 appears to be a 10cm x 10cm x 10 cm cube made of a material similar to paper. A series of triangles engraved into the cube can be seen on all faces. SCP-2597's weight changes every hour, making it impossible to conclude the exact weight of the cube. SCP-2597's anomalous properties begin when a living being touches its surface. The person(s) who touch the object will instantly be teleported to a random location, some have been reported to be a "Bizarre landscape they had no idea was possible." These landscapes include a cluster of floating blocks in a dark void, the surface of a planet resembling similarities to Saturn's moon Titan, and an empty city made entirely of glass.
Very few patterns have been found in these locations. On arrival to these locations, the subject will appear in front of a direct duplicate of SCP-2597 on the ground. This duplicate is quite fragile and can be crushed easily. In order to return, subjects must crush the duplicate. These duplicates will fall apart after 15 minutes, meaning any personnel sent through SCP-2597 have 15 minutes before
being abandoned and stranded permanently in whatever location they have been sent to.
"I would like to request that personnel stop complaining about the 'two at a time' rule. You wouldn't want to be stranded in a place we have no knowledge of alone. At least show some gratitude, we actually considered how you'd feel this time." - Doctor [REDACTED]
SCP-2597-b and SCP-2597-c
A re-occuring location subjects are teleported to has been described as an abandoned farm in a permanent night cycle. The area's features include a field of crops, (which upon examination, do not resemble any known species of plant on earth) a field of tall, blue grass (the average height being 4 feet tall.), and a small forest. Subjects have also reported a thick haze which covers the area.GPS location attempts have been unsuccessful as of █/██/██, as the GPS will simply display an error message. This area has been designated as SCP-2597-b.
Upon arrival at SCP-2957-b, personnel have reported seeing a canine-like entity standing at approximately 3 feet tall. The entity is covered in dark black fur, with bioluminescent, triangular shaped eyes which radiate a green color. The entities jaw area appears to be covered with a skull-like mask which represents the skeletal structure of that area. The mask has a "carbon fiber" pattern printed on it. The entity has been observed to watch subjects from afar, and if approached, will flee the area. SCP-2597-c has yet to display any hostile behavior.
Test A - Date: [REDACTED]
Procedure: Doctor ███ and Agent ██ both entered SCP-2597, each holding a GPS tracker. A live camera feed was provided via cameras mounted to a helmet.
Results: Both subjects touched SCP-2597, and had appeared in a tunnel. Doctor ███ picked up the duplicate, and both headed to which ever way seemed the most likely to have an exit. Doctor ███ eventually found an exit just after three minutes. Both arrived to discover an empty white room. Agent ██ begged the Doctor to return, as "they were not going to find anything interesting."
Both personnel decided to crush the duplicate, and returned safely.
"That was the worst experience in my entire life." - Agent ██
