It's a bed that, whenever a person within a 2 km radius considers utilising it in any form, will cause an entity to manifest within the person's vicinity. The entity can take an apparently limitless range of forms, and often appears in guises that psychologically trouble the person who activated it. Once manifesting, the entity will convince the subject to lie in the bed through any means necessary. This naturally makes containment incredibly difficult.
The entity is unable to physically touch the subject, and is therefore forced to resort to conversing with them verbally. This effect is not an anomalous compulsion in any form. Once the subject lies in the bed (as they invariably do) they… disappear? I guess? Or something more gory, like being drained of all bodily fluids…
I'm not sure. Anyway, help developing this would be greatly appreciated.
