An idea tying into the excellent 2952:
An anomalous 'Cash 4 Gold'-type store, which comes to the Foundation's attention after reports of customers' received cash disappearing hours later. The Foundation sends an agent in to investigate, and finds it's actually being run by fairy folk to acquire gold, but the next day the entire shop has vanished. They think it's neutralised until the same shop pops up halfway across the city. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam.
Eventually following the successful containment of 2952, the Foundation is inspired to attempt cooperative containment, and ends up getting them a real shop unit and helping them exchange some of their gold for real human money to pay customers.
Would this be considered too derivative of 2952? And do people think there's enough of a hook/story here to be engaging?
