I originally posted the idea here to vet it, and have decided that I can't really do it justice. For quick reference, the idea is a story covering the intake/orientation/training/first day or two of a new D-Class, possibly from the perspective of said new D-Class. Ideally, that new D-Class would be at least somewhat sympathetic - wrongfully convicted, former bouncer/bartender/waitress from a MC&D club who was just working there to pay the bills, something of that sort.
In my opinion, it's a story that needs to be told for three reasons: One, it's by and large unexplored territory within the SCP universe. Two, it has the potential to be a decent story, and shows some opportunity for a little black comedy / gallows humor. Three, it would help humanize the D-Class for the reader, raising the creep factor of using and abusing D-Class that the reader now has a much easier time seeing as people.
Feel free to take this idea and run with it, though I'd also be happy to consult/collaborate/help in any other way.
