This tale is actually only like 60% a shitpost
I had an original idea that the reason why the horns in 1893 is hidden is because it's repressing its more primal thoughts - essentially, like the tale implies, if the horns come out it's not being restrained. As the original iterations show, the Minotaur/beastman/bulldude takes a central role only when aggravated, and usually lashes out in a very animalistic manner.
2547, the modern interpretation of Coyote, exists primarily through the creation and proliferation of narratives - its existence is contingent upon narratives about him existing. As a mythological figure, the SCP file indicates that his goal is to make people remember him, and tell tales about him again - he welcomes all sorts of narratives that involve him. Also he quite likes sex, as the SCP and the original mythology both support - even though the original mythology always credits him as more dominant than depicted here.
One SCP is a beast that survives by creating narratives about itself, and the other is a beast that needs narratives about itself to survive - it's a match made in heaven. Essentially, they are perfect for each other - both entities grow more defined with each narrative that is created. There's other subtle allusions in this as well, such as 2547's narcissism and how 1893 hates it when the writer implies it's not sentient. Plus, I imagine that Mr. Minotaur would be quite lonely and pent up because there probably aren't many meta-narrative creatures around for him - and Mr. Coyote is more than happy to provide.
There's other subtle things too, and I hope the ListUser thing didn't spook too many people.
Plus I just wanted an excuse to write SCP gay furry porn that could conceivably fit in the SCP Universe.
I knew you were writing something adult about Coyote. This went beeping my expectations - masterful furry porn, my friend. Seal of approval given.
