So, my idea is an SCP that is solvent-based that can, lets say, transform into any living being at will, providing it has "seen" it before. All I'm asking for is any information on whether or not it has been done, or attempted, before.
so like how liquid takes the form of its container this kind of "living liquid" takes the form of its memory of organisms it has come into contact with? It might help to have a more solid idea of what the concept is first in order to figure out if it has been done.
Thank you for the quick response, sorry I took so long to reply. You practically took the words out of my mouth, I'll start to iron out the writing, it should be on a sandbox soon.
The SCP is now on a basic sandbox, it can be found here: http://scpsandbox2.wikidot.com/gracious-wolf
Basically, it's a solvent that can take form of whatever animal it "wants" to providing it has seen it before, much like a liquid takes shape of the container it's in.
So… this is not very good.
It's a thing that does a thing, and the thing it does isn't very interesting, as we've seen variations of this concept hundreds of times (Terminator, Mystique, and that thing in the wardrobe in Harry Potter, just to name a few).
I took a glance at your sandbox, and unfortunately it doesn't get any better. You classified it as Keter, but making something more dangerous doesn't inherently make it more interesting. Also, is this thing's containment in another dimension? Did I read that right?
You describe this as a solvent, but it doesn't appear to have any properties of a solvent. It just sounds like it's a blue slime from countless RPGs that can transform into whatever it sees. How does it even see without eyes? There's so much lazy expunges throughout that it makes it hard to read, and leads me to believe as a reader that you don't know what's behind those. The Foundation lost what it was they feed this thing? It became sentient due to captivity? All these things add up and cause me to lose my suspension of disbelief. Also, the testing addenda don't add anything to the article, and I don't buy that they're just throwing D-Class at this thing so it can kill them.
Also, is this thing's containment in another dimension? Did I read that right?
Everything you said is correct about the article, except for this.
He's saying that the internal dimensions of the storage container is 1x1x1

Haha, yep, that would make more sense. I think I read it as interdimensional or something, and even took a second look 'cause I was confused, but still didn't catch it.
Thank you for the feedback. I have fixed some issues described and will clean it up at a later date. Feel free to edit the sandbox if you would like to.
