Okay - about an hour ago I woke from the freakiest of dreams, where I was basically in the foundation (as some form of assistant researcher) and assigned to an SCP area.
While i think the dream itself has holes in it (at best) there may be a workable idea in this, but I just need a couple more spouts of inspiration to make it a workable idea (or not).
The SCP itself was the supposed underground bunker that is top secret and hiding under the Salisbury plain in the UK, which had gone dark some time during the 1970's - and the British army sent teams in to investigate, in stereotypical fashion - some did not return, and others had no memory of even entering the facility. Eventually the foundation intervenes and the same happens to three MTF teams, but not to their drones or recording equipment. From the recovered recordings, the foundation discovers a list of dates engraved into the side of a nuclear missile that has something to do with stonehenge and lunar cycles (the dream was kinda hazy at this point) along with a list of names of the personnel within the base when it went silent. Last but not least, there was a roaming entity, that was a 50cm around ball of floating "television static" (is the best way to describe it) that roamed the bunker. It wasn't so much of a roaming shit-brix-scary monster, but just something odd and bizarre that was there and couldn't be explained.
The only bit that was really specific was how the foundation had silenced the existence of the "top secret" bunker by building an exact replica of the entrances to the bunker 15 miles away, and then set about a miss-information campaign to the Army to spread utter confusion about what this base was actually for (and then under the secret information act, this is all further hidden from the public).
Anyone think there could be a good idea hiding in my dream induced madness?
