So yeah, read, comment, etc…
Don't mind the little notes on the bottom I pulled off IRC, they're just there so I remember them.
Decent concept, though it could use a little more kick somewhere.
The writing is wonderful. My one and only complaint: "have been analyzed by Foundation cryptographers to reveal [DATA EXPUNGED]"
If I had a dime for every "to reveal [DATA EXPUNGED]" or "revealing [DATA EXPUNGED]" on the site I'd fly you all out here and treat you to dinner and still have enough for the cab fare home. We use it so often that the progression doesn't even sound like it belongs in a normal sentence to me anymore, and I've only been here for two weeks tops…
Maybe "have been analyzed by Foundation cryptographers, which [DATA EXPUNGED]"
The better redactions I've seen cut out even more abruptly than that. But then, I might just be developing a nasty pet peeve…
The implication with that, and the following sentence is that there's some freaky stuff in the transmissions.
I think it would be better for the freaky stuff to at least be hinted at; subtle talk of end-of-world scenarios or HE-IS-COMING bullcrap. Otherwise it seems a little plain.
For example, the telephone which constantly plays coded prophecies would just be a telephone in the ground had it not been for the revealed logs (dammit, forgot the number again).
EDIT: Got it, SCP-270
I agree that hinting at what they're communicating is in order, although apocalyptic intimations aren't necessary. You could get a lot of mileage out of the implication that their thoughts are wrong somehow - hormone levels are off, they are forming an alien understanding of the world outside their little network, they have very violent fantasies, etc.
Actually "analyzation by cryptographers shows implications of [DATA EXPUNGED]" sounds pretty good.
"Analyzation" isn't a word. Try "cryptographic analysis implies [DATA EXPUNGED]" instead — it's more concise and says exactly the same thing.

I honestly don't think the Brain Kids need an extensive log of any sort. Recovery logs, incorporating the ancient temples? That's an amazing idea. Logs on WHAT their messages are? Meh…
Kinda makes me think that they are communication relays of some sort. I like it over all, just something missing. Likely a recovery log, which would probably round this out nicely. One from Egypt, one from China, a few from Mexico, and so on.
