It all makes sense now… I rather like it.
The second part comes to sound like a cereal ad. CRUNCH! IT'S NUTRITIOUS AND GOOD FOR YOU!
I couldn't help reading this in the voice of Ed from Ed Edd n' Eddy.
Dammit, yoric.
Now I can't unhear it.
Damn you!
I really wanted to take this seriously… but 173 sounds too much like a retard here…
The irony of it sounding like "a retarded" is stunning.
But I have to agree with you on this point. I could not read the story without my mind jumping to the image of a psychotic Tarzan.
I'll give Enma a pass on that one since she's not a native English speaker. I'm also giving the story a pass on not using "to be"— at least he's saying I and not me….
Huh? What irony? Did I wrote my previous post in a way that made me sound like a retard? I apologize, I'm not really seeing it…
Enma, in the US, a retard (noun) is retarded (adjective). (It's also a politically incorrect term, but that's a different discussion.)
Sorry Enma, I didn't realize you were not a native English speaker
I imagined a Hulk voice, myself. 173 mad! 173 crunch!
And now I can't read it without hearing that. Thanks a lot.
Alrighty, I am sober and have orange juice in me. Having re-read it, I cautiously like it. I almost dislike the idea that it gives 173 a motive, instead of it being just this mysterious killing machine. Still, it is well written and sensible. Upvoted.
I also find it amusing that weeping angel wrote a story about 173 that basically explains its ability to be identical in mechanics to that of a weeping angel. Amusing.
I still want to change that name to Gargus, like I have in chat, but as of yet, have found no means of doing this.
As for what you said, thank you.

You may only do this twice.
Oh god it's better than I thought it would be.
EDIT : I read this in a rough, raspy, shivering voice. Not like Hulk or Ed… But those are ok too.
I like it specifically for its ambiguity and anonymity. I love the idea of it being 173, but since we only assume that and it never declares itself to be I like it all the more.
