Ok, I give up. I can't create a decent enough GOI by myself. I've been trying forever on my own to create a GOI that I could use in a few scips I'm writing, but I just can't make a decent enough one. I would like some help creating a GOI to use.

Most of my scps are entities that can reproduce, and evolve, but not necessarily be biological, but not all of them follow this pattern. I'm trying to make a GOI that protects and uses these 'species,' but I can't make a motive, name, relation to the Foundation, anything! Please help.

I don't remember who said it, but another writer here said that what a GoI should do is enable you to write a kind of story that, without it, would not be possible. Writing about ruthless capitalists in an anomalous world is Marshall, Carter, and Dark. Writing about an anomalous world unfettered by ethics? That's CI.

What kind of stories could be told with the framework you've set out? Keep in mind that having a GoI also requires at least two other authors to write for it. It has to have broad enough appeal and usage to be workable - and even then it may end up by the wayside if it's just you writing for it.

You don't necessary need a GoI to write a tale or another SCP about protecting these anomalies - it could just be a one-off group. If a GoI isn't working, forcing it probably won't work either.

The question is always "What does the GoI add that another cannot."

If your goal of writing something is "I want to make a GoI" I'm saying that you're probably not writing something to write something, you're writing something to try and manufacture a GoI.
