I’m not sure if the 30 second rule applies as much to the written introduction as it does in the face-to-face version, (where first impressions dictate the potential fate of friendships, relationships, and decide just how acceptable one person is above another) so I’ll keep this brief so not to alienate myself instantly.
I’m married, live in Ireland, and have been writing fiction for a few years. Nothing published, yet. As for career, I have an on/off dalliance with acting and have appeared (sometimes in the background, sometimes in the foreground) of several international TV and film productions. No, I’m not famous.
I hold the belief that we are not alone. I don’t believe that we, as a form of energy, die. It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that any idea that can be conceived in the human mind is actually, or will eventually be, possible.
The paranormal fascinates me. With the existence of unexplained phenomena, it’s clear we know but a fraction of what’s really happening around us. We look on reality through a very small window. Sometimes the view is clear, sometimes foggy, but always interesting.
I like to read stories that stick in the mind for a long time afterwards. Weirdness in the midst of everyday events invigorates my mind. I try to get out as much as I can, mainly for beer, but often for mundane reasons. It's my birthday tomorrow.
Oh, and it’s a pleasure to be here.
