I've submitted these SCPs before, and both were downvoted to hell. The idea behind the first one is that it's a MacGuffin. A MacGuffin is a term used for an object whose function doesn't matter so much as its ability to drive the plot. Think of the million dollars in The Big Lebowski or the falcon in The Maltese Falcon. So the idea for the SCP is an object that, as soon as you learn about it, you MUST have it. It's vital to everything that you want to do, and if you don't get it, your plans will be laid to ruin. Then, once you DO have it, you realize what a waste of time and money it's been and wonder why you ever wanted it in the first place. But if someone else gets a hold of it, you realize that it was super important to your plans, etc.
The second one is more straightforward and hopefully fairly self-explanatory. It's a cognitohazard whatnot that causes you to reenact parts of your life in eight second bites until… well, until you die, basically.
