So, I know I said I wasn't going to be thinking about writing an SCP for a while. But I had a good idea. And a way to execute it in a non-cliche way. I genuinely think it could work; So I started writing up the very basic gist of it here:
It's skin and bones (no pun intended). I haven't written how it is discovered yet, I haven't written really anything except the base idea, so bare with me. I promise there's more than currently meets the eyes.
Currently, it includes the First Experiment Log.
Note: While I DO want editing and tone stuff. Right now, I'm not focused on that, as I've not even written a small portion of what there is to write, so editing the current draft would be almost pointless
My concern is, currently… the SCP is itself, and 2-3 other extensions of itself.
The first experimentation log is about the bodies.
The second I plan to make about the television.
The third I plan to make about the telephone.
And if I add any other extensions, they will all have their Experiment/Test Logs.
That's 3 Experiment logs, minimum; as putting them all together would be incredibly sloppy.
Then, there're Interviews, with the original group to report the SCP, as well as the Agent in charge of verification and containment, followed by another interview for one of the D-Class personnel who explore it. That's three interviews.
And then there's various explorations. I don't need to write the remote controlled exploration I mentioned. However, I have to write the one that the D-Class personnel from above partook in.
That's 7 Documents, outside of the SCP document itself. AT LEAST.
Will that affect the SCP negatively? I'm not really sure how to cut back the information, but I don't want to take away from the core of my idea. I know brevity is usually preferred, but in this case, I don't think it'll work in a brief set of documents.
Also, is there already an SCP like this in existence? I got trigger happy and jumped at the chance to write it, I tried looking through the SCP-Series, and found none; so I'm assuming it's safe ground to tread.
Thank you in advance. For those of you who want to edit/discuss tone, I'll update with each document I make (I'm making this partly for my own enjoyment, so I'll continue regardless of feedback. However I won't publish and waste everybody's time if I receive negative feedback)
