Developing a plant-based SCP whose seeds grow to mimic whatever they're planted in. Looking for interesting test materials, both solid and liquid. Thanks in advance!
I feel that this is very similar to another tree which can grow anything. It's essentially the idea, but backwards. Instead of a normal tree growing strange "seeds", it is normal seeds growing strange trees.
I like the idea a lot. I don't think it's too similar to the Everything Tree at all. The article itself is a bit confusing; if you're handy in photoshop, you might want to make a picture to aid the reader along. (Perhaps a picture of a planter overgrown with vines so it looks like it's made of them?)
Some test log ideas could be seeing what would happen when the plant interacted with biological matter; humans, animals, other plants. How long does it take for the plant to take the shape of whatever it's stored in?
I agree with AgentCoal. This is a really clever idea and quite different from the Everything Tree.
Also, for your recommendations for test materials, I've got a few ideas and questions:
1. What happens if you grow it in living tissue, or formerly living tissue. I have the ideas of people poking seeds into raw hamburger, or feeding them to a Class-D.
2. Does it have condition limits? What would happen if someone put it in a vacuum chamber?
For ideas, I have the raw hamburger and/or Class-D tests as well as what it does with something radioactive or a separate plant.
