Okay, here's what I've been thinking up. Since my first SCP was a total bomb I'm coming to the forum to run some things by and get tone assistance as well as some other information. This SCP is a Stereo that sat in an abandoned apartment complex on the fifth floor. When "victims" came in audible contact with it they heard a familiar song. The song is constructed around their specific thoughts or life. They keep trying to remember. If they cannot they will think nothing of it and move on. What makes this an SCP is IF they remember it. As humans we all stumble thought over thought all the time everyday. If this is remembered (which is the hostile part of this SCP) the victim will edge on the thought, and will be driven violently insane, thrashing his or her head on walls and most often committing suicide due to an excessive hemorrhage. It must be contained in a small soundproof chamber and only class D personnel can be used or tested with the SCP. They are to wear noise cancelling headphones unless instructed otherwise. What I want help with is constructing this with excellent SCP tone and knowing what to black out, expunge, and redact as well as know what should be used to keep this containment minimal. I would also like to note that this SCP is Euclid. Please help guys. I know you know what you're doing. Thanks.
I would personally try to rethink this idea. Speakers/sounds that make people insane are cliche; there are tons of SCPs already written on that idea, and it doesn't seem like this idea is bringing anything new to the table.
Maybe the speaker could be sentiant? Just an idea of where you could go if you really want this speaker idea to work out.
I would like proof that there are "tons" of this idea. I've read things on this site for over a year and never seen one.
This isn't a cliche because it's been done tons of times. It's a cliche because of being an "over the top" object, and a "thing that makes you go crazy for no good reason."

Ahh. I understand. I want to give this a try though. I could change the insanity to massive headaches or something. But this is the first good idea I've had.
What if the sound represented something that was normally an abstract concept that had varying effects on listeners, but still had to be contained due to its unpredictable nature?
Okay. Please help me develop a tone to write this out though. I can't get the tone right for this site for some reason.
I'm kinda new here, so I'm not sure how well I would be able to help you. I kinda know the whole "abstract concept" thing was my idea, but I'm not exactly sure what would be able to produce such varied reactions, i.e. it could inspire one person, drive another up the wall, make yet another re-think his life, and push others still to the brink of insanity.
Maybe it's the sound of the meaning of life? Lol.
