Hi, newbie here, I was just thinking if it is possible that ALL of the anormalies/SCPs/weird shits that happens "in-universe" could be explained by some theory, or some sort of theoretical model.
Below is just some of my postulations.
The physical universe that SCP foundation exists in (the physical realm in which the SCP foundation, their Earth, sun, the galaxy and everything within and outside of the 13 billion lightyears of observable universe exists, that operates under the same canopy of laws) could be a sub-universe of a larger construct, and along side this universe could be the parallel universes (Alexylva University etc), and some of the pocket dimensions could be simply little pockets of parallel universes. And enclosing all these parallel universes/dimensions is a multitude of realities, and one must obey the laws and meta-rules applied from the ones above it. And above all these "in-universes" in which the SCP stories exist is OUR universe, which horror writers are the gods that decided the rules and breaking of rules of, the entire SCP "story universe".
I apoligise if
(Note: and above ours could be one that some god MIGHT exist, or it could be a non-sentient machine, or it could be nothing, but that is outside of the discussion of this thread)
For example we could argue that many of the sentient objects are actually sentient beings outside of the universe but only has access/control over certain things within the current physical universe. Like how 173 is an extra-universal sentient being that monitors the universe at a meta level and dislikes not being observed. Or 682 is an extra-universal/meta being that simply cannot be destroyed. But then there could be different level of meta-ness, like if 682 is under the influence of 173's rules, and 682 tries to obey the rules to not get strangled (I think it happened in a test report), and since 682 didn't try to fight 173, then 173 could be existing on a higher level of reality than 682… That probably didn't make sense. I think I need some better examples.
Like what if a cut-everything-sword contacts a indestructable metal plate. IF the sword cuts through it, that means the sword is more meta than the metal plate. Vise versa. Or if they belong to the same level of metativity (I just invented this word) they could render a reality failure up to the level of their existence and anything it contains will "crash" when observed from a higher reality. Or, it could simply mean being at the same level of metaness cancels their "special abilities" eachother, and making them behave normal to eachother (sword will dull, the metal plate will chip) but retain the power to all other things.
Perhaps there could be different parallel metativity that competes eachother to assert control over their containing universes. Or perhaps the meta levels are not clearly defined, and can intertwine/go through/looping eachother.
To conclude, I think the scientists at the SCP foundation ought to come up with something like this to explain everything rather than blaming it on SCP-001 or something…
Or is it impossible to come up with any valid model at a meta level? (like perhaps we are never physically able to observe what made physics possible, something that is outside the unvierse)
Just some brainstorming. Please correct any newbie mistakes/misconceptions/misunderstanding if I have any. Thanks.
