Do you like your's to be really long with a lot of detail?
Or do you enjoy a story that short and concise with everything jammed into a quick read?

I like a story that's as long as it needs to be to be interesting.
… But not so long that it stops being interesting again.
Well then it's not as long as it needs to be, is it?
No. Then it's too long and needs to be shorter.
Depends on the SCP. Some SCPs, like The Lost Cosmonaut, wouldn't be half as good if they were longer. Others, like The Stairwell, are just made better (or worse, depending on your definition of better) by the addition of exploration logs, which, of course, add a lot of length to the required reading.
Length is a fickle mistress. Shorter SCPs can be easier to read, but it takes a lot of skill and the right subject matter to ensure you've gotten everything across in one go. Longer SCPs don't run that risk, but if you don't keep it interesting, you might lose your reader halfway through.
