Hey everyone, glad to be here. I suppose I should explain how I got here in the first place?
It's not particularly interesting, but I stumbled across the SCP Containment Breach game - which I'm sure that you're familiar with (http://scpcb.wordpress.com/ for those that aren't) - while I was browsing through a horror game thread one merry morning on the Escapist. Finding that the game was based on the works on this site (namely SCP-173 and SCP-106) I moseyed along over here to find a plethora of awesome and chilling tales and entries.
I write a lot in my spare time, anyway, short stories and the likes, and I was particularly interested in the very clinical approach to horror that this place suits pretty much perfectly. Why I'm here then: well, eventually, I hope to be contributing some of my own SCPs from time to time and maybe even some tales if I feel like I could manage a good one. The main reason I'm here, though, is to learn more about writing techniques and whatnot from some of the pretty great people on the site, rather than actually writing myself. But like I said, I hope to be doing some of that too.
I'd always be willing to proof read someones work if, for whatever reason, they didn't want to take it to the chatroom. If you ever need help writing an article, or aren't sure about something, I'm always pretty quick to run to Google, so I can look that shit up for you right quick.
Oh, another thing, I'm by no means great - so there are probably other people you'd want to go to first - but if you're desperate, I do own Photoshop and I could create an image for your SCP, although anything I can do, you probably could too. It's just a case of whether you've got the software or not, I guess.
Some personal details, then.
I'm still a youngling, at 16, residing in Cornwall, merry old England. Studying English, Film, History and Ethics, Philosophy & Religion at college, although I reckon it should be noted that I'm mainly in that last one for the Ethics bit, not the Religion.
So then, that's me all introduced. Hope I can be of some use around here.
