First part of a challenge issued to me to write a tale and two SCPs in one day.
Came up with the idea last night.
Hope you enjoy.

I don't buy this in the slightest. The Foundation is not that old, and they're not that key to everything ever.
I think you have may have missed something important here. What do you think this is about, exactly?
Nope, my fault. Huh. I could swear my suspicions that this was about something else were confirmed by the author.
Kind of interesting, as far as the idea is concerned. Though I couldn't help but ask, "If people hadn't mastered fire, who the hell were the sorcerers making those damn artifacts?"
I love this takes, except that it's too… Linear. I personally think the Foundation is just the current of these groups. Which isn't disproven by this either, really.
And now I have an idea for a tale, about a feudal king and his last stand. (SCP related, but semi-indirectly)
Yes, the Foundation is the current, "least bad" organization in the world, and the one whose goals most directly match up..
Or at the very least, this is written in such a way that those goals use the words we do ;)
Actually, I'd say The Serpent's Hand is the least bad one (although they don't do much). I would consider them an organization, or at least an organized collective.
For least bad, I think the UIU takes it. They're not really bad at all, just sorely underprepared to face what the Foundation does. And of course we have GoI's like Nobody, who's agenda is completely unclear.
For a moment there I thought this was a story about Humanity's uprising against the Bigfoots. Something about us being hunted down to almost extinction by beast men with magical (biotech) powers.
Still like this though.
