So I've cranked out a second draft of this one, fleshing it out a lot more. I'm looking for concrit in general, but if any of you are any good at writing "voices" I could really use a hand. I've never been any good at that, and my interview log doesn't sound right yet. Thanks in advance.
As far as i'm aware the brain cant be largely exposed like that, and I dont believe that a "brain reading translator" exists (not that its a bad idea, just a little to far out there).
Maybe he could only be interviewed by bringing him to consciousness with drugs, under a condition that he's confused and depressed when on said drugs.
I really like your idea though.
No, it does work. This is the device. I've exaggerated the abilities of it, but not very much. The one I described isn't much more than a year of research ahead of the one in the linked article.
Also, I think you misinterpreted the SCP's condition. Total locked in syndrome isn't a coma. He sleeps and wakes the same amount as any other person, but can't move any of his muscles. Not even his eyes.
