It's not exactly stupid, but you're facing two major hurdles.
The first is that the SCP itself may be difficult to read and be unenjoyable. That can be mitigated by having random sections of the text encoded with the rest in plaintext, but any meta entry has a certain barrier to entry that you have to make sure the article is good enough to hurdle past.
The second is that there are already quite a few meta entries like that already. The Fan Fic Plague, The Indescribable Object, and The Toaster are the three that pop to mind immediately.
I'm pretty sure there are a couple more like the SCP that can only be described using narratives, that I can't remember the name/number of.
Those already use the gimmick of self-referencing document corruption already, and form their own quality line that would be hard to get past.
Of course, I'd suggest writing it up any way regardless of whether it's ever posted just for the practice of it.
