I would really appreciate it if you guys read and reviewed this failed attempt at an SCP. It's the second one down. My first bombed….I'm already getting the same vibe from my second.
I don't know if this one is a failure, though I think it needs some experiment logs or something of the like to flesh it out. The basic idea seems good to me. Thoughts:
Why would all Class 3 personnel know the password? One of the principles behind secrecy is "need-to-know". Even if someone can be trusted with information, there's no reason to do so unless they have a need to know. Allowing everyone to know that information serves no useful purposes but does create more chances for mischief.
It's made clear that affected subjects are never satisfied by the non-food they eat but does their hunger subside when forced to eat a nutritionally appropriate amount of regular food? It might seem obvious but this is SCIENCE! and that can't be assumed, either in testing or in writing. Presumably, that's one of the experiments that would be carried to. Force a Class D to watch it and then force them to eat real food, while preventing them from eating non-food. Can they ever been broken of the idea that what they think is food is not food? Do they remain hungry?
"The artist C███ W█████ does not seem to know of the video" doesn't seem sufficient. First, how do we know he isn't aware of it? Presumably the Foundation would question him about the matter. If they did, what were the results of questioning him? Perhaps this would help: "Despite extensive questioning, artist C███ W█████ stated he had no recollection of SCP-xxxx. C███ W█████ persisted in denying knowledge of SCP-xxxx even after being allowed to briefly view the video, including the credits, and in spite of any attempts at coercion. The artist was given a Class C amnesiac and released. Agent █████ has been assigned to monitor his activities."
Typos and similar niggles: "The video is 22 mintues", should be "minutes". "In addition, exposure to SCP-XXXX is non cumulative", should be "noncumulative" or "non-cumulative". "and all food items as being inedible..", double period there. "It has been shown that further viewing of SCP-XXXX does not change to this effect." is unclear and awkward. I presume you mean that further viewing does not reverse the effect?
