Alright, I've been lurking around for ages, haven't actually written anything for the site yet.
Since I saw the previous UIU orientation article getting downvoted, I decided to work on my own.
Before I post the draft up on a pastebin, I want to check the basic premises I'm working from:
1) People at the UIU know that anomalies are real, but have a hell of a time actually finding provable ones.
2) They know there are other groups involved, but don't know specifics (I have the foundation mentioned as two separate groups, once as The Suits/Men in Black, and once "Skippers" or Soap from Corpses Productions1 etc.)
3) They're at the absolute bottom of the food chain, and the agents who survive are those who remember that fact.
Is this a reasonable set of premises to go from?
