I wouldn't call it laugh out loud funny, but when I realised what you were doing it made me smile. Clever idea. The last paragraph could be clearer, and I'm not sure what all the [DATA EXPUNGED] is for (you only need one anyway, and that doesn't add much as I have no idea what it's supposed to be).
Otherwise, if you clean this up and submit it you have my upvote.
Edit: Also, at a stretch I could see this being main list rather than -J, as there are others which play with the effect on the writer idea, such as SCP-426. Others will probably disagree though.
Thanks for your thoughts. The list of [DATA EXPUNGED] is supposed to be the remains of an edit war between infected and non-infected personnel, but since it's not terribly obvious I'll remove it.
Ah, makes sense, but I never would have guessed. You could potentially hint at it with something before/after each expungement, "SCP-XXX has been redefined as [DATA EXPUNGED]". But not that. It also works well without them.
