This is Part III of Conspiracy. It is not so much a horror story as an intrigue thriller. I have studied intelligence and espionage fairly extensively throughout university, writing my senior thesis on intelligence analysis. This tale is essentially an attempt to write up a good spy story in the world of the SCP Foundation.

a note: you say sold to "C", but in the GOC document it actually says sold to "M"
I love this story, and on your suggestion, i've added the "POI" designation for "Person of Interest" to the GOC wiki.
One note: "KTE-Black" usually designates a humanoid eldritch abomination like Nyarlarthotep or Able. I'd consider something different unless the person of interest is indeed a KTE.
I'm flattered that you like the story, Clef.
On the file for C, I made up the designation POI-55057-Black "C" because I couldn't figure out from the GOC wiki what sort of nomenclature to use, exactly. C is intended to be regarded by the GOC as a private collector believed to possess a bunch of KTEs (with varying degrees of threat). The individual's not supposed to be regarded as much of a threat himself/herself, and the GOC has no reason to believe C is anything other than an ordinary human with a collection of paranormal items. I'd be happy to change the nomenclature if you'd tell me what it should be.
So is Mycroft in any way a reference to Sherlock Holme's British Intelligence Savy brother of the same name?
The short answer is "yes, but it is more complicated than just that."
Not wanting to spoil things for you if you've not gotten that far yet, I suggest you keep an eye on the spoiler-collapsible-hidden commentary and discussion in the later parts of this tale.
