How exactly does the virus that causes this make the elevators accelerate like that?
And what if the building that the infected elevator is in is way too small for it to reach the…er, redacted speed? Oh, and.
I don't need to tell you what's wrong there.
It makes it accelerate because derp it's anomalous.
If the building is too small… Well, I think you can imagine.
"The virus that accelerates elevators infinitely". Kinda too wtf.
About the size of the building, I reread it and now understand why it would still accelerate. But three things:
1. You should have made that more clearer
2. Does it fly into the sky, smashing through the roof, hitting every airborne thing including possibly airplanes until it reaches the redacted speed and becomes a non-entity?
3. What if the elevator is transparent?
And the log seems underwhelming. The D-class just disappears. Maybe put a camera in the elevator, put in what the camera sees?
If it doesn't seem to spread through any means (and just randomly appears) why is it called a virus, rather than an anomaly?
What virus-like properties does it have?
Well… if it's a virus, that'll be it. Viruses are constituted by particles, which can be analysed.
I was assuming that Downs meant virus in the metaphorical sense, because if it's a virus in the biological sense one of the primary anomalies (certainly worth mentioning) is how it reproduces itself within a non-biological non-replicating host.
I meant in a metaphorical sense. I'm unsure of what word to use, though.
And if the elevator collides with something before reaching sufficient speed, it will either smash through and continue accelerating, get so heavily damaged it can no longer accelerate, or if it gets stopped completely and it's speed reduces to zero it will no longer accelerate.
