I've drafted an SCP on the sandbox site, and I'm hoping it's good. If it's not, I hope it can be improved. Please tell me what you think of it.
Here's the link: SCP-1218: Transmutation Keyboard
New Member Info
Aside from the mediocre tone and writing quality, this is nothing but a thinly veiled clone of SCP-914.
As I mentioned earlier in another thread, random-object generators and random object-generators are both out of style, and a poor way to start writing for the Foundation. Also, your draft is way too short to use collapsibles, and it's really annoying.
Ach! I was trying to avoid it becoming another 914. What I was going for was: The scip turns matter close to it into requested items. It only works when it plugs itself in and normally tries to differentiate between needed and unneeded mass, but it will transmute the hell out of you if you deprive it of mass.
…Now that I look at it, you're completely right. Back to the drawing board. Thanks!
Be more abundant about what it can do (the dos and donts), what difference does it make it if you connect it manually to it connecting automatically (potential loophole there, careful), as well as a range of materials it can use/create, randomization intervals between materials, and so on.
Again, while it needs work, with proper handling it could be something decent. I'd like to see more of it in the future.
EDIT: Previous text doesn't matter.
Like the guide says:
There are no bad ideas. Only bad executions.
My first SCP got -15 last night (I don't regret it, the comments were hilarious), so don't sweat it if it doesn't come together at first, keep working on it.
