Ok, so I've had like three ideas I've wanted to make into SCP articles, and I know what their effects are, what their containment procedures are, their addendums, all of it.
The problem is that I'm having trouble keeping it clinical. I keep drifting into the "fantastic narrative" style of writing, one that does not suit this site. I have tried looking at alternative ways to describe things, I have looked into what specifics make an article more believable, and I've scrutinized every SCP, good and bad, trying to find a writing style that would suit the way these things should be written.
And the thing that makes this all the more embarassing is that I didn't have this problem before. I wrote SCP-445 and I had little to no trouble writing that one at all, but that was years ago and I've lost my way.
Any suggestions are much appreciated, I simply want to be able to write again.
